As the city evolves around him, the film becomes a soulful, romantic, and bittersweet love letter to a place caught between who it was and what it’s becoming.

Centered on Black creative lives and filmed in luminous black-and-white with an original jazz sensibility, Alejandro Hendricks’ debut explores displacement, intimacy, ambition, and the changing identity of a city rarely depicted from this perspective onscreen.
